Testing Tips
Read Twice Answer Once
Read each question twice and be certain you understand what is being
asked. Many questions are answered incorrectly simply because they were read
incorrectly.
Read Them All
Read all four answers before choosing your answer. If the
first choice looks like the correct choice continue reading because a better choice may
follow. Sometimes you encounter a question that seems to have two correct answers,
however, one will always be better than the other. Choose the best answer.
Answer Them All
Do not leave any questions blank. Answer all questions.
Scrap It
Immediately use the scrap paper that will be provided to you. Any information
you're having trouble remembering immediately jot down on the scrap paper before beginning
the exam. This will relieve the additional pressure of continuing to remember
difficult material.
Keep It Moving
Don't spend too much time on any one question. If you don't know the
answer mark it for review and go back to it later.
Be Alert
A later question sometimes provides valuable information to answer
and earlier question. Be on the lookout for questions containing such information.
Must Never Except Not Incorrect
Watch for keywords like must, never, except, not, incorrect.
Missing these words can totally change the focus of the question and cause you to answer
it incorrectly.
Guess
When you absolutely do not know what answer to choose narrow it down
to your two best options. Re-read the question looking for clues to lead you to the
correct answer. If you're still unsure, guess.
Ever Ready
Equip your calculator with fresh batteries or bring extra batteries
just in case.
